SlingMedia bought over by EchoStar?

Word on the street has it that EchoStar is ready to purchase SlingMedia, and that isn’t exactly a bad thing should it actually happen. After all, this would mean that Sling technology will be opened up to more applications, including the possibility of Slingboxes getting tied into DISH TV receivers. For those who are still having two minds about picking up a Slingbox at this point in time, it would be prudent to do so since the sale of SlingMedia is tipped to happen sometime this December.
