The SlingPlayer for Symbian S60 phones is now available for sale, enabling a slew of compatible Nokia handsets to stream TV from the entire range of Slingbox models. This new standalone software delivers full-screen playback as well as WiFi streaming that was not found in the previous edition that was available pre-installed on models sold by British wireless provider 3. The SlingPlayer will retail for $30 in US, C$35 in Canada, and £20 in the UK. If you picked up the Nokia N95 in the US though, that fee is waived. Alternatively, you can always try out the free 30-day trial version before making that all important purchase decision. Portable TV on the small screen? I suppose this is a must for TV addicts who absolutely need to know what’s happening in their favorite series no matter where they are. Whatever happened to delayed gratification these days?
