Sony RIN concept speaker

The Sony RIN was a concept when we covered it in May, and unfortunately for the world it is still stuck in the concept stage. This glass speaker features a column that rises vertically from a stone base. I would be extra careful with having one of these at home, especially when there are kids around. A misdirected soccer ball could mean another Humpty Dumpty scenario, except that eggs are way cheaper to purchase compared to speakers. Do you think Sony will ever kick off the RIN as an actual product?
