The ThermoSuit system utilizes technology that rapidly cools a patient’s core temperature, helping preserve cardiac and brain function in victims of cardiac arrest, stroke, heart attack, traumatic brain injury, and hyperthermic patients. The patient will wear a disposable body suit that allows coolant within the suit to be pumped all over the skin. This rapidly flowing coolant enables the ThermoSuit system to rapidly and non-invasively change the patient’s temperature without any adverse effects. The ThermoSuit system has just been approved by the EU so hopefully we’ll see it appear in hospitals and medical facilities everywhere in order to help preserve lives that teether on the brink.
