Toshiba camcorders do not do AVCHD

Toshiba has a couple of Gigashot K-series camcorders that supports only MPEG-4 AVC instead of the AVCHD format that is currently being supported by companies such as Sony, Panasonic, and Samsung among others. This format isolation won’t kill the camcorder though as that would mean the Gigashot K-series would be on more friendly terms with the iPod and Apple TV compared to Sony’s AVCHD HandyCams. Specifications include a 1.35 megapixel CMOS sensor and the capability to record video at a maximum resolution of 720p. You can not only record onto the built-in hard drive, as there is the option to store your home movies on the SDHC memory card format.
