TVonics has just announced their new eco-friendly DVR-FP250 that consumes a mere 3.5 watts of power in standby mode – that’s far more efficient than the industry average of 11 watts. The DVR-FP250 is also the only DVR currently available that has been approved by the Energy Saving Trust. Not only that, it is made from recyclable aluminum, so you might actually have the remnants of last Superbowl’s beer can right in your living room in its reincarnated form. Features of the DVR-FP250 include Freeview Playback accreditation meaning and an automatically adjusting programme recording time. Not only that, the DVR-FP250 can also record up to 125 hours of TV from over 40 free digital TV channels when hooked up directly to any existing analogue, LCD, plasma TV or projector.
