The UPEK Eikon Digital Privacy Manager is now compatible with Mac computers, although you won’t find Mac software included with the retail package of this USB-powered fingerprint reader. For those running on Macs, they’ll have to pick up the $39 Windows version and then download the Mac software before it can work. The preview version download is free, so it can be presumed (although don’t take our word for it) that the final version will be free as well. With this, you can now access any password protected website or application with the swipe of your finger, doing away with the need to remember lengthy passwords that have weird alphanumeric combinations.
