Women are number 1 console owners

A recent survey shows that there are more females than males who own game consoles – 44% of ladies compared to 39% of blokes to be exact. Does this finding put the stereotype of a gamer being 18-34, male and single in jeopardy? One thing cannot be denied though – that the arrival of the Nintendo Wii greatly changed the gaming landscape, making gaming more attractive to both genders with its bunch of quirky and casual games.
