Amazon MP3 blocks customers

…those who aren’t from the US anyways. Amazon.com has started to implement geographical targeting to filter out those who aren’t residing in the US, leaving many folks who reside out of the US while using a US-based billing address out in the cold where purchasing DRM-free, mainstream music MP3s are concerned. Will this move serve to fuel piracy? Only time can tell, but I guess one thing’s for sure – this “free ride” is over and one has got to look for alternative sources (non-US residing folk anyway).
