Just when you scoff at those in the HD DVD camp about their choice of format while you stay on the (apparently) superior Blu-ray camp. Unfortunately, your choice of format has suffered a recent feedback with two recent high-profile Blu-ray movie releases (“Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” or “Day After Tomorrow”) being tarnished by widespread complaints about playback glitches. These glitches include the disc not playing at all, some degree of stuttering, or even spewing out of error messages. Heck, some players might even take many minutes just to load the movie. The main suspected culprit is currently the new copy protection system that has been included on both discs, but don’t rule other causes out just yet. Hopefully the manufacturers will rush on firmware updates to overcome this problem soonest possible.
