While Ikea brought the idea of flatpacking throughout the civilized world, Canadian artist Max Dean and robotics expert Raffaello D’Andrea collaborated to bring you a robotic chair that is smart enough to reconstruct itself after being dismantled. Watch the video and tell me that you’re not creeped out by the entire experience. This sorta reminds me of the T1000 in Terminator re-assembling itself after being blown to smithereens when frozen. Cornell University has stated that the video of this self-assembling robot chair has been floating around for quite a while already, but it is still worth a look for those who haven’t done so yet.
