Warner Home Video has just announced that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be the first DVD in the world that includes different video formats, all stored on a single disk. This means the regular DVD format will be accompanied by versions that are suitable for home computer viewing as well as playback of different portable media players such as the iPod and the Zune. No word on DRM at the moment, but do be cautious as Warner releases often come with protection schemes. If you’ve missed the movie in the cinemas a couple of months’ back, then you can always rely on this DVD release when December 11th rolls around.
