FLOTspotting robot concept

The FLOTspotting robot concept, also known as YABO, from Kim Yeong Seong was designed specifically to keep lonely unmarried persons company. I suppose if you wanted good company, you could always get a dog but at least with the YABO there is no poop to collect, and you don’t have to get dragged out of bed at insanely early hours just to bring Fido out for his daily morning walk. It sometimes makes me wonder – is the pet king while its owner is a slave? At least with the YABO you can just ignore it or even stop charging it once it runs out of juice. The YABO might not be able to keep you warm during those cold, lonely nights, but it is capable of monitoring home appliances and electronics, maintaining temperature and humidity while expressing itself by rotating and changing the color of its face.
