Interesting deal for TiVo owners

Now here’s a rather interesting deal for those who already own a lifetime subscription on their old TiVo Series 2 units and want to make the jump to TiVo HD. All you need to do is fork out $199 to transfer your old subscription to the new unit, but that comes with a condition – you must purchase an HD unit between October 11 and November 8. In addition, you’ll need to be a really loyal TiVo subscriber since this clause applies to those who have been activated before October 1, 2003 and not having it transferred to another machine already. While there are a few hoops to jump through, the $199 asking price is pretty decent for those who fit the criteria.
