
Those Palm stalwarts who have been supporting the company through thick and thin have been dealt with yet another blow – the new OS is still a long way off – 18 months to be exact. Apparently Palm has reshuffled engineers from the axed Palm Foleo project to manage OS development instead. Unfortunately, the said engineers aren’t able to work fast enough to complete this Linux-based project. Would you hold out for Palm in one and a half year’s time? That’s like in the first quarter of 2009 – most probably the iPhone Extreme 2 would be up and running by then.
