Philips has entered the living room PC fray with the introduction of the LX2000. This computer breaks the £1,000 price point and is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, running on Windows Vista Premium while housing a 160GB hard drive and 1GB RAM. In order to give it more muscle in the living room PC environment, you also get a digital TV tuner for you to watch, pause, and record live TV courtesy of a programme syncing feature along the Sky Plus lines. The inclusion of a black chassis DVD rewriter makes it easy to record all those live TV shows and sporting events, while integrated WiFi makes it easy for you to connect to a nearby network sans pesky wires. The Philips LX2000 retails for an affordable £599.
