Philips Mobile Clinical Assistant The Philips Mobile Clinical Assistant is yet another tablet device that targets the healthcare industry, especially hospitals. Intel’s Digital Health Group is responsible for the design, and the Cliniscape Mobile Clinic Assistant comes with a 10.4″ touchscreen display, a barcode scanner, a 2 megapixel camera, RFID and Bluetooth connectivity, 802.11n for fast wireless surfing, 1GB RAM and a 60GB hard drive – all powered by a custom installation of Vista Business with an Intel Core Solo processor keeping everything running just fine. All Cliniscapes are contained in a sealed “medical-grade” enclosure that can be wiped clean with disinfectant and withstand a 1 meter drop. It can even be docked to a base station that turns the Cliniscape into a desktop with even more connectivity options.
