This makes parking a pain in the rear, and property developer 200 Eleventh Avenue is planning to build a 19-story residential building in Chelsea on the west side of Manhattan, featuring personal “sky garages” for residents’ cars. It has been hailed as “New York’s first En-Suite Sky Garage”, letting occupants enter and exit their apartments without coming into contact with other residents. Sounds like living there just got a little more colder among fellow humans, eh? These sky garages are accessed via a street level door, which subsequently leads to a key-lock car elevatoro. This elevator will bring the driver straight to a 300 square feet garage space that is attached to their luxury apartment.
