Solar-powered donkey carts

It is interesting to note that a donkey cart is already environmentally friendly, but our friends in Africa have gone one step further by introducing solar-powered Human and Animal Powered Vehicles, also known as HAPPYs. The HAPPY uses a traditional donkey cart as a platform, boasting a solar panel and a 12-volt battery on its roof. The amount of energy harvested is more than enough to power a cell antenna, water filtration system, emergency lights, and a small neon tube. Guess it doesn’t get any better than this, as African families in remote areas will soon be able to take advantage of having electricity in the middle of nowhere long after the sun has set. The developer of this concept is currently looking for more funds to complete the project’s first phase – any takers out there reading this?
