
Transcend has just announced its new 160GB StoreJet 2.5 SATA external hard drive which boasts a stylishly designed, polished aluminum case. It is connected using a hi-speed USB 2.0 interface which can achieve a maximum data transfer rate of up to 480Mbps while maintaining full compatibility with older computers that only support USB 1.1. Features include a “OneTouch Auto-Backup” button and the StoreJet elite 2.0 software bundle that enables intelligent backup scheduling, security, and power saving functions. Different colors depict various sizes, with Silver, Titanium, and Blue carrying 80GB, 120GB, and 160GB worth of data respectively. No idea on pricing though.
