2X VGA Extender does HD video

Gefen has a new extension system known as the 2X VGA Extender that is capable of splitting one VGA video signal and delivering it within a 1,000 foot radius over standard CAT-5 cables, supporting resolutions of up to 1080p or 1,920 x 1,200 computer displays – perfect for high quality digital signage and professional audio/video applications. Installation is a no-brainer, taking but a few seconds. The sender unit first hooks up to the VGA source, while the receiver is connected to both extended displays. A 5 volt power supply at the sender’s location is all that is required. You will have to fork out $399 for the Gefen 2X VGA Extender – pretty pricey considering the rather mundane task it does.
