Alltel Wireless has launched the Axcess Family Finder service, featuring easy-to-use interactive maps that help monitor or guide family members to specific locations. Unfortunately, the Axcess Family Finder Web site given in the press release does not work :( Still, it is interesting to know that such a service exists, enabling frazzled parents to know just which specific areas their offspring hang out frequently, while the Scheduled Check function lets them track their kids during certain times courtesy of GPS technology. This will definitely give a whole lot more peace of mind as you can never quite tell what young folks are up to these days. In order to take advantage of Axcess Family Finder, you will first need a “child” phone which is compatible – among them are the LG AX8600, Samsung U520, and the Samsung R510 “Wafer.” Axcess Family Finder can be subsribed for $9.99 monthly per child.
