Somehow, the name GG-2008 brings a wry smile to my face – the year hasn’t even begun and we’re already wishing it farewell? Anyways, geek speak aside, it looks like an Archos design has been copied and now known as the GG-2008 portable media player. Features of this device include support for AVI and MPEG-4, a 3.5″ TFT display, MP3 playback and the ability to view JPEG files. In addition, you get an e-book reader, PictBridge connectivity, AV-in and out functionality, a speaker, a USB 2.0 port, an integrated microphone and a 60GB 2.5″ hard drive. No idea on how much this costs, but like any other clone, it ought to be far cheaper than the real deal.
