Looks like high demand and a general lack of supply for the Eee PC has resulted in launch delays in several markets throughout Asia. Originally planned to be launched in 15 Asian markets this month, the shortage has seen launch dates for 10 countries being pushed back towards the end of the year. Those who have benefitted include Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia, followed by the Japanese market in Q1 2008. Looks like demand for extremely affordable and functional devices are what the market wants these days.
