Force feedback suit developed MIT researchers have developed a force feedback suit that provides real-time feedback to each joint in your body based on a human teacher’s emotions. Sounds complicated? Here’s a rather simplistic explanation – let’s say I want to throw a left jab, where my fist is supposed to come straight out from my shoulder with my elbow tucked in. Unfortunately being the bungling novice that I am, my left elbow pokes out unwittingly. My boxing coach would proceed to record the ideal left jab with motion capture technology, upload such information into the software, and that very same movement by the coach would then guide my suit (and subsequently, me) to perform the perfect left jab. All I need to do to perfect then it is rely on muscle memory. Does this mean I’ll be able to pull Bruce Lee punches soon?
