HP IQ775 TouchSmart Desktop PC HP has released its IQ775 TouchSmart Desktop PC that targets the kitchen-and-den PC market, giving families the opportunity to leave video messages for one another as well as access required information. This AMD-powered machine will come with 2GB RAM, a 256MB GeForce GO 7600 graphics card, an NTSC TV tuner, a 500GB SATA hard drive, a supermulti DVD burner with LightScribe technology, an 8-in-1 memory card reader, a couple of USB 2.0 ports, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, S-Video and co-ax video input, and support for 5.1 surround sound. The icing on the cake would be its integrated 19″ LCD touchsceen display – although greasy fingers in the kitchen and a LCD screen do not good friends make. Sounds perfect for the family who lives under the same roof and yet have such different schedules they hardly ever meet at home. The IQ775 will be released in the US, Canada, Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, retailing for $1,599.
