IDsmart’s SensorCard will be on display in Paris this month, being a computer in a credit card format which is biometrically authenticated by the cardholder as long as their fingerprints match. Stored fingerprints are encrypted when it was first issued, so there is less risk of a security breach whenever you lose the SensorCard. It can also function as a biometric authentication tool for access control, financial transactions, computer login, and virtually any application that requires authorization and authentication for access to restricted locations or sensitive data. It can be used virtually anywhere as long as there is a 5 volt power source nearby. No idea on how much this SensorCard will cost though when it is officially released.
