InnoDisk integrates PEEK into USB drive

InnoDisk has developed a USB flash drive that features a connector block made of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) integrated with the main body. The resin used will ultimately reduce both product weight and production costs, and can be commercialized in a shorter time period when compared to metal. Since the dimensions of metal connectors used in USB flash drives are standardized by the USB compliance committee, the use of PEEK helps reduce the thickness of the USB flash drive’s main body, making it as thin as the connector block itself. InnoDisk’s new flash drives measure a mere 4.6mm in thickness, weighing just 3 grams. Guess it is now easier than ever to lose your USB flash drives.
