Lexar will soon ship its new memory card reader that comes with one UDMA-compatible CompactFlash slot and one SDHC-compatible SD card slot. I must say the design looks totally rad unlike many other yuck-tastic offering in the market these days, featuring an integrated cover for the card slots. Pressing the buttons on the sides of the reader will pop up its middle portion, making both slots accessible. Once you’re done, push the middle section down in order to cover all slots, keeping things looking neat and tidy while making sure no dust enters the slots. It hooks up to a computer via USB, courtesy of its mini-to-full-size USB cable. The Lexar Professional UDMA Dual-Slot USB reader is tipped to arrive at stores around November 15 with a recommended retail price in the region of $45.
