Microsoft aims to make their Xbox 360 more family friendly with its new parental control feature known as the Xbox 360 Family Timer. Similar to the feature found in Windows Vista, Family Timer enables parents to allow the “appropriate” amount of gaming and entertainment time on the console, be it on a daily or weekly basis. This helps kids who have poor self-discipline to know that there is more to life than saving a virtual world with Master Chief or blasting aliens in Gears of War.
