
Millet exhibited its Solar Pad Summer Outdoor Retailer Show, showcasing a showercap-style rain cover that comes with a flexible solar panel fitted within that is connected to a cigarette bayonet connector, enabling you to charge your power hungry portable device whenever there is sunlight available. You will have to lug around an additional 600 grams for this feature, but it could well worth the effort and exercise especially when you’re in the great outdoors with nary a power outlet nearby, and yet need to make that all important call. The Solar Pad will probably be released commercially sometime before next summer rolls around.
