Seagate announces new Barracuda

Seagate has a new Barracuda hard drive that will cater to Microsoft’s new Windows Home Server, where the DB35 hard drive will come in varying capacities of up to 1TB. Its top of the line offering, the Barracuda 7200.11, is compact enough as it packs 1TB of data on just four discs, bringing cool operating temperatures and low power consumption that help extend drive life without compromising on space and performance. It can also function well on a single-user system, be it for PC RAID, digital editing, hot-rod gaming, single-drive external storage and consumer PC purposes. Looks like 1TB of storage space is starting to be the norm these days, even for a regular desktop. I’m still rockin’ away on my 80GB hard drive and have not filled up half the space, how about you?
