The Solar Bug from Steve Titus probably looks ugly to most people, but the good thing about it is it comes with solar panels on its roof in order to help you save money on gas. The Solar Bug is built on an ATV chassis and has been classified as an NEV, hitting a top speed of 35mph with a maximum range of 60 miles. A full charge takes somewhere between four to six hours, translating into 30 and 60 cents in your monthly power bill. This vehicle will use lead acid batteries, and is currently available for pre-order. Hopefully last year’s speculated price of $9,500 still remains.
