Sony has plans to release a couple more Pro HDV camcorders in the market next February – the handheld, HDMI-enabled HVR-Z7U and the shoulder-mounted HVR-S270U. Both will boast interchangeable lens systems, 1080/24p/30p native progressive recording, increased sensitivity for low-light conditions, hybrid solid-state recording and a 12x high-quality, multi-purpose Carl Zeiss lens for HD video. The HVR-Z7U and the HVR-S270U will retail for $6,850 and $10,500 respectively when available, so if you’re a home video enthusiast, these \camcorders are definitely out of your league.
