Sony Japan is currently taking pre-orders for its XEL-1 OLED TV, dubbed to be the slimmest OLED TV in the world, measuring a mere 3mm thin. This 11″ display will come with a resolution of 960 x 540, an amazingly high contrast ratio of 1,000,000 to 1, and an integrated digital tuner. You’ll need to part with $1,800 for this though, although you do get a 3-year warranty along with each purchase. At that price, I have a feeling most people would settle for a lovely 40″ LCD TV instead.
