Sony wants to do its bit for the environment, and each time you pick up the Graphic Splash Eco Edition Vaio FZ notebook, Sony will happily donate 1% of its purchase price to 1% For the Planet alliance. It will come in four new colors – Bloom, Clay Earth, Caribbean Water, and Spotted Life. Some of the more environmentally friendly features found in the Vaio FZ include a slim design that uses minimum natural resources, easily recyclable materials for resource conservation, fully recyclable packaging, and RoHS compliant components which are free of hazardrous materials such as lead. These new notebooks will retail for $1,391 upwards in limited quantities.
