Panasonic’s new Toughbooks will come in a trio of form factors – the ultraportable W7, tablet T7, and slim Y7 notebook. All three will be powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, weighing between 3 to 3.7 pounds. Shared features include Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi connectivity, in addition to a DVD Super multi drive. You can pretty much put these through a whole lot of abuse considering how they can stand up to heavy pressure, thanks to a magnesium-alloy casing, shock-mounted hard drives, and flexible internal connectors. This 7 Series of Toughbooks also boast spill-through keyboards that laugh in the face of an accidentally tipped over mug of coffee. Prices range between $2,099 and $2,449 when they go on sale next month onwards.
