Transcend has released the S5 memory card reader that does only SD and MMC formats, which is a pity since there are tons of formats floating around outside these days. The S5 (thankfully) supports USB 2.0 connectivity, which means you won’t have to plod around with the painfully slow USB 1.1 standard. Not only does it do standard SD memory cards, it also boasts support for the latest SDHC standard, which means (in due time) you’ll be able to chuck 32GB worth of data into your computer without a cinch. There is no word on pricing, but the Transcend S5 comes in just one color – Apple white.
