Zonbu has a new notebook and service available, whereby the former will be manufactured by Everex while the latter requires a $14.95 monthly subscription fee. Based on the same operating system as the Zonbu Mini, this new Zonbu notebook will come with 20 best-of-breed software applications, free and automatic software upgrades, online storage, file remote access and sharing, automatic data backup, unlimited online tech support and free hardware replacement in the event of damage. The Zonbu notebook will be made available to everyone early next year, and it retails for $279 each. It definitely isn’t as power packed as the Asus Eee PC, but it is an alternative to consider if you’re into some lightweight portable computing (in terms of actual weight as well as computing power).
