The F2218 camera phone churned out from China’s factories throws down the gauntlet when it comes to the megapixel count – it features a whopping 8 megapixel CCD sensor that can capture 3, 264 × 2,448 pixel resolution photos. A Xenon flash, Nightscape and video capture rounds off the list of features. You even get a lens cover that slides open when required, hence protecting the lens when the camera is not in use. Don’t be swayed by the megapixel count though – unless you’re going to blow your favorite image and turn it into a wallpaper, 3 megapixels is far more than you need. There is no word on pricing and availability as at press time.
