The MVS Virtual Cable prototype could prove to be the future of the heads-up navigation display, working in conjunction with a car navigation system that projects your route. Turns and curves in the road are projected as a cable in this idea from New Jersey inventor Tom Zamojdo. The entire system users a small laser that works through a series of mirrors and lenses to project the path onto the windshield, although the driver will probably think it looks as though it is hovering above the road.
