Super Talent announced a new range of Parallel ATA (PATA) 1.8″ solid state drives (SSDs) that feature a zero insertion force (ZIF) connector. Available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, these new drives feature sequential read and write speeds of 30MB/s, access speeds of 0.1ms, resistance to shock and vibration to keep your data safe and sound, and a low power consumption of less than 1 watt when active. The ZIF connector comes in handy whenever you’re dealing with rugged handheld computing devices, hence the SSD’s capability of operating in a vast temperature range from -40C to 85C. The 32GB model is tipped to retail for $790.
