Palm loses $9.6M this quarter

Palm continues to have difficulties and lost $9.6M this quarter. In the meantime, we speculate that some re-organization is underway internally, and just this morning Jim Goldman was speculating on CNBC that what Palm’s future could look like. Going private was one of the possibilities mentioned in the article.

Whatever the future might be, Palm needs to be shaken at the core. It seems that the company needs a deep corporate culture change, may be a culture of calculated risks. This is a perilous task, because Palm needs to make a comeback in the hardware and software design at the same time, and that my friend, is hard to pull off. We wish good luck to Palm.

I owned the Treo 600, 650 and 700w and I’d like to see Palm be cool again.
