Samsung announced a couple of entry-level digital cameras from its S Series, notably the S760 and S860. Both will feature a 3x optical zoom and a 2.4″ LCD display in addition to digital image stabilization, ISO 1000, functions description and a self-shot mode. The main difference between the two lie in the megapixel count, with the S760 toting 7 megapixels while the S860 has a predictable 8 megapixels. Sounds pretty much like your standard point-and-shoot digital camera. The Samsung S760 will retail for approximately $165 while no pricing details have been released for the S860 as at press time. They’ll miss the frenzied holiday season though as they’ll be available only in January 2008 onwards, coming in a choice of black, silver, pink and blue colors.
