Samsung to roll out 1.3-inch HDD at CES

Samsung announced that come January 2008, it will unveil its 1.3″ hard drive at CES 2008, targeting the mobile consumer devices market. This is a rather interesting development since one would expect Samsung to favor flash memory, a market where it is dominant. But it’s all about what the market wants and right now, the capacity-per-dollar has not tilted towards Flash yet. Naturally, Samsung intends to capture as much market share as they can in every market. Now, how many GB will this 1.3” hard drive contain?
