$2.5m Worth of Data Down the Drain

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, so they say, and this was proved by a Florida woman who believed she was about to get fired. In order to exact her revenge, she apparently deleted $2.5m worth of computer files (that’s approximately 7 years’ worth of drawings). The reason behind this madness? She came across a “Help Wanted” ad placed by her boss which was actually a position that was pretty much an identical match to hers. Further investigations revealed that the position advertised was actually meant for her boss’ wife’s office, so she wasn’t in any real danger then – although after her bone-headed move, this could mean she’ll probably get fired. What can we learn of all this? Always, always keep a backup of your data. Preferably at a place only you know where and how to retrieve it.
