AT&T has announced that it will be replacing 17,000 batteries where the majority are currently being used to back up power supply for its U-verse TV network after reports of two fires and an equal amount of explosions in a time period that extends slightly over a year. Thankfully, no one was injured in those incidents but the battery replacement program will not affect its spending plans for this year. It is rather disheartening to hear about the state of batteries these days that seem to explode far more often than they should in the first place.
