BlueAnt V1 Voice Controlled Bluetooth Headset

[CES 2008] BlueAnt aims to stay ahead of the competition with its new V1 Bluetooth headset that claims to be the first voice-controlled headset of its kind in the world. Thanks to the BlueGenie Voice User Interface, the V1 comes with a variety of functions that can be accessed simply by speaking to the headset. It isn’t too large either, and comes in a simple and elegant design. I like the way the BlueAnt logo glows when it is powered. No longer do you need to deal with the hassle of remembering the range of combinations and button pushes to pair up your regular Bluetooth headset with your cellphone. The BlueAnt V1 is tipped to ship this April for $119 a pop. Voice-controlled functions of the V1 are as follows :-

  • Answer/Ignore Call
  • Redial
  • Call Back/Home or Office/Favorite (maximum of 5 numbers)
  • Enable Pair Mode
  • Check Battery/Connection
  • Activate Phone’s Voice Dial
  • Help and Settings Menu
