Ciggy-sized Unmanned Aircraft

Researchers at Oklahoma State University have collaborated with DARPA to release an unmanned aircraft that is tiny enough to fit in a soldier’s pocket. It will use a futuristic propulsion system that consists of plasma thrusters and no moving parts, measuring anywhere from a foot to under six inches. The ultimate aim would be making them small (and functional) enough to be pulled out from a sixpack in a flash. Unlike the large UAVs used in war zones these days, this new line will be extremely tiny and more discreet, making them much more useful when it comes to scouting out the enemy territory without risking human life and limb.
