[CES 2008] The MP3 bandwagon isn’t dead as you will discover at CES 2008. CSR will be unveiling its new reference design for MP3 players known as the BlueCore player, including the entire slew of circuit diagrams and other required materials. The CSR reference design will come in a small 45mm x 60mm form factor, feature AVRCP support to control audio tracks via Bluetooth, and an OLED display that works well with romanized characters as well as Asian and Arabic fonts. This reference design is extremely economical on power with a 14-hour playback time. Just in case you’re wondering how much a regular MP3 player costs to make, the reference design is below $10, leaving the rest of the math to your imagination.
